The slot receiver signed with the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this season to reunite with his long-time Seattle Seahawks head coach. He gets to catch passes from a former Seattle QB of his, too, in Geno Smith.

Why did Seahawks cut Tyler Lockett?

The Seahawks cut Lockett in March for salary reasons.

He had a cap hit of more than $30 million for 2025.

His release saved Seattle about $17 million.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s emergence helped this cause, but Lockett was probably gone either way.

Why did Titans cut Tyler Lockett?

Lockett signed with the Titans before the 2025 season, but by mid-October, he was done. He requested a release, and the Titans granted it.

That set Lockett up to sign with the Raiders.
